Buddy Rules and Job Description

Buddy Rules

1.   Talk to the children calmly – do not shout. If you need help inform an adult on duty.

2.   Attend Buddy Meetings to share good ideas and to talk about problems.

3.   Do not pick children up, even if you know them well.

4.    Do not play on the equipment – you have a responsibility to carry out.

5.   Put play equipment away tidily.

6.   Decide as a group on your two WOW awards.

Buddy Job Description

1.   To know Buddy rules and follow advice from adults.

2.   To make sure the children in the playground have friends to play with

3.    To help children if they fall over or hurt themselves.

4.   To care for children if they are feeling upset.

5.    To help adults who are on duty.

6.   To organise games and read stories with other children when asked.

7.   To reward good behaviour with comments and praise.

8.    To always talk to other buddies about WOW certificates for two pupils who have done well during the week.
